Yesterday was a crazy packed day!

Mark asked me to marry him!!!!! :)

November 21, 2006 was the day of Mark's Book Launch. His parents flew in at 11:3opm the night before. So we all woke up at 8am. Mark went to breakfast with his parents and I got ready. They came back to our condo and his mom and I went to the club house in our condo complex and we set up the room we rented out for the Book Launch Party of 4. Then we went back and picked up him and his dad. We all went back to the club house and Ed the videographer was there ready to record the whole day.

There was no internet in the club house so we ended up going back home and Ed video taped everything that Mark was doing. Kind of like a reality show. He was sending out emails, talking on the phone to his assistant, other investors that are in the book, his promoter, his web guy, so many people. And at 2:40pm Mark hit #1 on Amazon's Rich and Famous list! That was an exciting moment!

So after that happened Mark said "OK, let's go back to the club house." So we all went, videographer, parents, him and I. He said he was going to act like he was talking in front of a group so his parents and I sat down in the chairs right in front of him as he stood at the podium. He was first like "I don't know what to say. I can't even talk" because he was about to cry. Then he just put his head in his hands and started balling. His parents got up and started hugging him, then I hugged him. His mom and I started getting teary eyed. Then he excused himself to go to the bathroom. His mom kept looking at me and mouthing "what is he going to say?" "what is it?" I didn't know either! So he came back from the bathroom and still could not get a word out. He was so emotional.

It was so cute, yet I felt so bad because I didn't know what he was so emotional about. I thought it was his book project. Mark has invested so much time into this project. He has gone through so close calls, and has to deal, and talk to so many people to get through this project. I think this was the biggest goal he has accomplished to date. I am really so proud of him. He really pushes himself. Mark is such an over achiever.

So anyway, he finally just came right in front of me and got down on his knee and pulled out the ring and asked me to marry him! All I can remember was his mom letting out a "Aaahhhh." I remember I didn't even look at the ring but I saw the diamond sparkle and I got off my chair and fell to his level and hugged him. I started crying and I was telling him "I love you!" I don't know how long we did that for, and then his mom was like "Is that a 'Yes'?" I was like "Yes." And then we stood up and he put the ring on my finger. It was gorgeous. I called my mom first. She was shopping in Marc's. She went and told all of Cleveland haha. Then my cousin Lori called me because she heard it from her mom which my mom told. Then Maria called me. After I got off the phone with her I called Kelly. I called Abby and she didn't answer so I called her again and that time she answered. That night I talked to my sister and then my dad.

Everyone said how happy they were for me. I'm so happy and feel so lucky to spend the rest of my life with Mark Evans! :)
